When looking for paintings my Peter Paul Rubens, I found this one. I thought it was very interesting and I like the use of the purples in the background. It's a very beautiful painting and I love the detail put into things like the ripple of her shirt and the feathers on her hat.

Blog #9: Claude Monet
Ever since I took painting the first time, I always thought this painting was very unique and impressive. I love bodies of water and I think the perspective that Monet put on this painting is very creative! Most people would not think to paint a side view of a bridge!

Blog #8: Sumo Paint Designs
For this design, I used the 'Fractal Morpher' option within Sumo Paint. I made lots of designs using the star feature and I turned on 'Shape Trails' so that it made a cool trail behind the star. I chose this image because I feel like it's a lot different than what other people created. I don't think many people used the Fractal Morpher like I did. I just love the background and the unique circles that were created!

Blog #7: Abstract Artwork
My definition of 'abstract' is taking something and making it a more simple concept. This painting, for example, has taken a landscape and made it simpler and more creative than what it was before. Abstract is the lack of physical or 'concrete' existence. This landscape was merely an idea before the artist put it onto canvas. Abstract objects can only exist in your mind because they cannot be found in nature, but you can take the components, like colors and shapes, and make them abstract. The artist takes colors that could be found in a sunset and makes arranges them so that it makes a beautiful abstract painting. I believe this painting is of a sunset on a lake with a tree or rock lining the shore at the sides of the painting.

Blog #6: Stop Motion Video Project
When we were making our video, I wish we would have maybe kept the paper directions there longer because they are kind of hard to read.
My favorite part of this is that we made it work really well and we used good materials that we were able to mold and shape into the parts we needed like marshmallows and chocolate chips.

Blog #5: Digital Artwork
This piece of artwork is called "I'm Complicated" by the artist DestinyBlue on DeviantArt. I like this piece because of the bright colors and the use of a rubik's cube to represent how the character is complicated. I feel like I myself am kind of a complicated person so I feel like this piece represents me in a way. One technique that the artist seems to use is bright colors that focus on the main part of the image.
